The production process, step by step, from raw silicone to your wrist.
A silicone wristband starts as soft, uncured silicone rubber and ends as a single moulded piece with your design in it or on it. The whole process has five steps, and knowing them explains almost every question buyers ask: why debossed designs last longest, why there is a set-up cost, and why 250 bands is the sensible minimum.
Pigment is mixed into the raw silicone before anything is shaped. That is why a silicone band's colour cannot chip or peel: there is no coating, the material itself is the colour. Segmented and glitter bands start here too, as separately pigmented silicone laid side by side, and glow bands mix in a phosphorescent compound at this stage.
Your artwork is machined into a metal mould, reversed. Lettering cut into the mould stands proud on the band, which is embossing; lettering standing proud in the mould presses into the band, which is debossing. The mould is the one-off cost of the order: it exists once, then serves every band in the run, which is why the price per band falls so steeply with quantity and why very small runs are uneconomical.
A measured charge of silicone is pressed in the heated mould, where it cures from a soft solid into the springy, stable rubber you wear. Curing is what makes the band waterproof, latex-free and steady in sunlight. Out of the press, each band is trimmed of excess material at the edges.
Colour-filled bands get ink flooded into the debossed recess and cured again, so the second colour sits protected below the surface. Printed bands are screen or pad printed on the cured surface instead, which carries finer detail but sits on top of the band, and is the part that wears first on a hard-worn band. The lifespan page covers how each finish ages.
Bands are checked against the approved proof for colour, wording and size before packing. This is also why the digital proof matters: the mould follows the proof exactly, so an error approved on paper becomes 250 errors in silicone.

Simple ordering
Five steps from idea to delivery. We do the fiddly parts.

We prepare a digital proof showing how your wristband will look. Nothing is produced until you have approved it.
We raise an invoice, and payment — or a deposit — is requested. Once that is received your wristbands go into production and we confirm your dispatch date.
Your finished wristbands are delivered to the address on your order, with tracking where the service provides it.
Questions
Our minimum order quantity is 250 bands per design. Below that the set-up cost per band becomes uneconomical for you rather than for us. If you need a smaller run, tell us on your quote request and we will let you know what is possible.
Yes. Silicone is a stable, skin-friendly material that contains no latex, so it avoids the most common wristband allergy. It is waterproof and easy to wash. The full answer, including advice for young children, is on our silicone safety page.
A silicone wristband lasts for years of daily wear. The finish decides how long the design itself stays sharp: debossed and embossed designs are moulded into the band and last its whole life, while printed designs sit on the surface and wear first. The detail is on our wristband lifespan page.
